09/16/10 ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS....not just a kids game with your hands!
Incantation was selected to this exhibit, the first of its kind ever to be held at ArtServe (Fort Lauderdale, FL) will blend together the realms of music, works on paper, paper installations and fashion. The hope with this exhibit is to build intrigue and entice culturally aware, young professionals to attend the opening reception of Rock, Paper Scissors. This one-of-a-kind showcase will run September 7, 2010 through September 24, 2010, with an opening reception for the general public on September 16, 2010, from 6-8pm. (more)
11/13/10 Society of Composers National Conference
March for Strings was chosen to be played as apart of the University of South Carolina's String Project. USC String Project is a nationally-known community engagement organization made up of 300 string students beginning at age 8. The Society for Composers International Conference From Thursday night, November 11 through Sunday, November 14, 2010 the USC School of Music will host the 2010 Annual Conference of the Society of Composers, Inc., the national association of university composers. Two hundred or so composers and performers will come to Columbia and participate in fourteen concerts of over 100 works of new music and six academic paper presentation/demonstrations beginning on Thursday night at 7:30Pm and ending Sunday at 4Pm.
